Joe is a Physiotherapy graduate from the University of Hull with a strong interest in musculoskeletal rehabilitation. As an active individual, he understands the important role movement plays in both performance and everyday life.

Having competed at national level in swimming and triathlon, Joe developed first-hand insight into structured training, injury prevention, and progressive rehabilitation. This experience shapes his approach to supporting athletes and active individuals in returning to performance safely and confidently. Although he no longer competes, Joe maintains an active lifestyle and regularly trains in the gym, which further strengthens his understanding of exercise-based rehabilitation.

Niall is a highly experienced Osteopath with over 8 years clinical experience in private practice. He is now one of 2 clinical directors at West-Gate after taking over from the previous owners in 2022.

He is skilled at diagnosing musculoskeletal conditions and injuries, as well as identifying systemic issues like autoimmune conditions. Niall understands that the patient should be treated as a whole. Their lifestyle, hobbies, stress levels, work commitments and previous medical history rally together to produce the symptoms presented at the clinic. Time is always taken to delve into a patient’s story and gain a proper understanding of every individual.

Niall has brilliant hands on skills which he developed at Leeds Beckett University and continued to develop through private practice and further professional development. He provides massage therapy, joint manipulation and articulation, kinesiology taping and strapping for sports injuries as well as exercise prescription, strength training advice and programming for those wanting to protect themselves long term from injury and ailments.

As well as osteopathy, Niall is also qualified in dry needling/ acupuncture and also provides vitamin injections at the clinic, including B12 and D. He spent 2 years providing pitch side first aid for Driffield Rugby Club and has himself competed in the British Championships for weightlifting. One of Niall’s favourite assessments at clinic involves West-Gate’s state of the art motion scanner which can be used to provide accurate gait analysis and build bespoke 3D insoles for patients. Rebecca gained her M.Ost degree from what was then called the British School of Osteopathy (now UCO). In the School’s large teaching clinic Rebecca gained experience in treating a huge variety of patients, from mums-to-be all the way through to treating older adults in a care home, taking in chronic pain patients, the homeless and a few others along the way!

After a spell working in the south-west of the country she has made Yorkshire her home, and is loving treating the variety of patients who come to her for help. She has continued her education with, among other things, further courses in the treatment of patients suffering persistent pain.
